Belize Public Holidays

Public holidays in Belize are set at the national level countrywide – they are implemented similarly across the six districts.

During Belizean public holidays, all banks, government offices, schools, and businesses are closed. But there is an exception for popular tourist destinations – most tourism businesses stay open to accommodate visitors. Examples include tour operators, souvenir shops, and restaurants. Chinese supermarkets are also usually open since most people buy their groceries daily.
