A very popular annual event in Ambergris Caye, the San Pedro Lobsterfest celebrates the opening of Lobster Season in Belize. It includes day and night crawls where local tourism businesses sponsor social events and local restaurants and bars feature a variety of lobster dishes. The events range from live music at beachside BBQs to fine dining at upscale resorts.
This year the Lobster Festival will run from July 4th – 15th. Day and night lobster crawl events will lead to the big festival event which is a downtown Block Party on Saturday, July 15th, which typically includes an art show, live music, fire dancers, local dance company performances and fantastic food from the local restaurants. To close things off, on Sunday, July 16th, a Beach Party will be held at the Boca Del Rio Park.
