Things To Do

Only a stone’s throw from the second largest town in the country, San Pedro, the location of Captain Morgan’s means there’s plenty to offer if you’re wanted to explore the island. Popular in the Caribbean is snorkeling. With the region’s exotic marine life and truly breath-taking coral discovering the sea is a must whilst in Belize. Snorkeling the Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark Ray Alley is spectacular, and divers shouldn’t miss Belize’s Blue Hole or Half Moon Caye Wall.

Heading out further, a day trip to Xunantunich is an unforgettable experience. Whilst the journey may be a good few hours, the ancient Maya ruins of El Castillo and the surrounding lush rainforest are to be marvelled at and play a huge part in Belizean history.

Another option for exploring Mayan temples is the nearby Lamanai. This ancient Maya site is located in Orange Walk and a quick day tour can be arranged by a local tour operator or your hotel. For a more exhilarating adventure, you can choose to visit the ATM Cave, but you’d have to book that tour via Tropic Airlines.

If you wish to stay on-site however, Captain Morgan’s themselves won’t leave you short of things to do. With three full-sized, freshwater pools to float away in as well as a number of events that entertain guests every week, including their Mexican night, which combines delicious food with live jazz over a backdrop of the Caribbean Sea.
